Year Round
With today’s rising house prices the conservatory is the viable option
to extending you home. Your conservatory now become the extra room,
the problem has always been that it is to hot in the summer and too
cold in the winter, this is a common answer most people give when
asked. Most people do not realize that up to 80% of the sun’s
solar energy passes directly through a standard polycarbonate
creating a greenhouse effect in your conservatory, rendering the
room too hot for use. And likewise on a winter’s day all the heat
simple disappears through the roof
Now
You Can Have Increased Comfort
SOLARshield
Foils prevent up to 80% of the sun’s solar energy from entering
the through the roof, this helps to keep a comfortable temperature
inside your conservatory. A big advantage is the reduction in glare
by 80%, this in its self increases your comfort level So what when
it gets cold, In winter, most of the heat lost escapes through the
roof with a SOLARshield Foils, a large portion of the heat is
reflected back into the room helping to maintain an even temperature
and reducing heating costs. A lot of companies promise you massive
savings, unfortunately this is not possible with any glass or
polycarbonate roof, however SolarShield Foils will certainly make a
massive difference to your comfort and your pocket.
Maintenance
“Ermm” None!
SOLARshield is an integral part of the polycarbonate sheet so requires no
additional cleaning or maintenance. As it is sealed within the cell
structure then there is no cleaning required. SolarShield lasts as
long as the polycarbonate. Remember Solarshield cost as low as 30%
of the cost of blinds and you never have to clean them.
Choose
The Colour
SOLARshield comes in a choice of two colours, choose silver for maximum light
penetration into the conservatory or gold for maximum heat and glare
rejection. Whichever you choose, SolarShield will capture and
reflect light to provide you with greater comfort in addition to
providing effective solar control and lower fuel costs.
Advanced
technology
SOLARshield is completely unique, unlike traditional methods of controlling the
climate in your conservatory with roof vents, which try to dissipate
heat, once it has built up SOLARshield reflects the sun’s
heat, preventing the heat from building up in the first place. The
integral SolarShield uses advanced, ultra-clear micro-thin metalised
polyester. Tried and tested in thousands of installations throughout
the UK, The micro-thin polyester solar protector is highly
reflective but allows natural light to penetrate, so the
conservatory remains bright and airy. SolarShield brings new levels
of comfort and energy efficiency to your conservatory - so you can
use it every day.

In
Brief
SOLARshieldis the premium solution to existing overheating conservatories. These
specially designed inserts reject 80% of the summer heat compared to
blinds (17%) and foiled blinds (35%). Unlike blinds which gather
dirt, soot and dust, and need regular maintenance, SOLARshield
is encapsulated within the polycarbonate, meaning that once installed
no maintenance is
required.
Blinds obscure the view whereas SOLARshield
special
sputter film technology works like a one-way mirror, allowing the
view from the conservatory to be enjoyed without others from looking
in.
This guide has been designed to allow
